IITAP is proud to announce our new Webinar Series! Starting in December 2018 we will be rolling out 12 LIVE Online Web Training Courses over the next 6 months. There will be 2 webinars per month on various topics and facilitated by experts in the field of sex addiction. Each webinar awards (4) CEs.

Each webinar is limited to 30 participants only.

Pricing: CSATs, PSAPs, ASATs: $175 per training or purchase a bundle of 4 trainings for $600 (Select and purchase the 1st of 4 webinars, then email  info@iitap.com to acquire PROMO Code to register for 2nd, 3rd and 4th webinars.)

Non-CSAT Licensed Clinicians (space permitting): $200 per training

Participant Requirements: Attendees will be required to have a laptop with audio and a video camera to participate in training.  Each training will be conducted via zoom.com. Instructions to attain zoom login information will be emailed out prior to each training.

Cancellation Policy:  All webinars registrations are final and non-refundable. 
It is the responsibility of the participant to be on time and participate for the entire webinar to earn the 4 CE's. The participant is responsible for their hardware, software, and connectivity to the webinar session.

 

Webinar 3: Multicultural Awareness, Diversity and Cultural Competency: Cross-Cultural Strategies for Effective Engagement with Sex Addicts

Friday, January 4, 2019 - 8:00 am - 12:00 pm PST

This session will involve an educational component as well as experiential tasks. The objective is to discuss, discover, and provide knowledgeable literature, interventions that are focused on Counselor Multicultural Competency, Diversity, Cross cultural communication and discover the needs and the strengths of minority populations. Specifically, a discussion will be facilitated concerning the individual, familial, community and systemic strengths of this population as well as cross-cultural communication, unique mental health issues of minority and innovative strategies will be discussed.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Be able to apply a cultural lens when counseling sex addicts.
  2. Gain an understanding of cultural awareness and how it impacts cultural competence
  3. Gain a basic understanding of the mental health issues of minority populations and cross-cultural communication;
  4. Apply strengths-based interventions solutions and interventions that address multicultural issues in various settings;
  5. Operationalize practical interventions and research-based best practices that may help engage and aid the development of helping professionals working with underrepresented clients.
  6. Discuss research, best practices, practical activities, strategies and intervention designed to assist helping professionals to work with clients who are culturally underrepresented in various settings



 

This course has been approved by the International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals (IITAP, LLC), as a NAADAC Approved Education Provider, for educational credits.
