IITAP is proud to announce our Webinar Series! We will be rolling out LIVE Online Web Training Courses throughout the rest of 2019. There will be 2 webinars per month on various topics and facilitated by experts in the field of sex addiction. Each webinar awards (4) CEs.

This webinar is limited to 30 participants only.

Pricing: CSATs, PSAPs, ASATs: $175 per training or purchase a *bundle of 4 trainings for $600

Non-CSAT Licensed Clinicians (space permitting): $200 per training

Participant Requirements: Attendees will be required to have a laptop with audio and a video camera to participate in training.  Each training will be conducted via zoom.com. Instructions to attain zoom login information will be emailed out prior to each training.

Cancellation Policy:  All webinars registrations are final and non-refundable. 
It is the responsibility of the participant to be on time and participate for the entire webinar to earn the 4 CE's. The participant is responsible for their hardware, software, and connectivity to the webinar session.

Often therapists see individuals whose behaviors may have crossed the legal boundaries of what is considered to be lawful. We need to have a clear picture of our state and local laws and how to discern if we can treat them within our scope of practice.  This webinar will define a proposed strategy to aid in decision making.  

Objectives:

Upon completion of this webinar, clinicians will:

  • Be able to identify and demonstrate a beginning understanding of the assessment strategies utilized to distinguish whether the client falls within your scope of practice.
  •  Based on state and Federal laws, decide if you for
  • Describe the process you will use in making an informed decision about continued treatment for the client.
  • Understand and utilize an individualized program for sex offenders that will meet the standards of practice of your state and ATSA should you decide to provide treatment.
  • Articulate the similarities and differences between the 2 groups: Sex Addicts and Sex Offenders

About Barbara Levinson

Barbara Levinson, PhD, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist holds a Ph.D. from the University of Texas-Austin.  She is the Director and owner of the Center for Healthy Sexuality in Houston, TX. As an IITAP Certified Sex Addiction Therapist/Supervisor and Multi-Addiction Therapist, she specializes in the treatment of individuals with problematic sexual behaviors along with betrayed spouses, and mixed sexual orientation couples. She is an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist Diplomate and an EMDRIA certified EMDR Therapist. She is also a Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider-Supervisor and approved De-Registration Specialist.  She developed the Restitution & Responsibility Treatment Program in which she conducts psychosexual evaluations and provides intensive treatment for Sexual Offenders utilizing evidence based modalities.

 

This course has been approved by the International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals (IITAP, LLC), as a NAADAC Approved Education Provider, for educational credits. NAADAC Provider #92253.  IITAP is responsible for all aspects of the programing. Training is Live Online for 4 contact hours.
