IITAP is proud to announce our Webinar Series! We will continue to roll out LIVE Online Web Training Courses throughout 2020. The webinars will be on various topics and facilitated by experts in the field of sex addiction. Each webinar awards (4) CEs.

Webinars are limited to 40 people

Participant Requirements: Attendees will be required to have a laptop with audio and a video camera to participate in training.  Each training will be conducted via zoom.com. Instructions to attain zoom login information will be emailed out prior to each training.

Cancellation Policy:  All webinars registrations are final and non-refundable. 

It is the responsibility of the participant to be on time and participate for the entire webinar to earn the 4 CE's. The participant is responsible for their hardware, software, and connectivity to the webinar session.

Welcome 2020 in with  a  vision  of what you want to create for yourself this year. Experience Mindful  Self  Compassion (MSC) practices that will assist you, as a clinician, as well as your clients, in dealing with stress, uncomfortable feelings, and unwanted behaviors.  These practices can also assist you and others in becoming calmer and more resilient.  I will present some of the history and research, as well as what Mindfulness Self Compassion and Inquiry is and isn’t.  I will show how I have used Mindfulness with Problematic Sexual Behaviors/Partners and other addictive behaviors for the past 5 years.
This webinar will be both didactic and experiential. 

 

Objectives:

This webinar presentation is designed to help you:

  1. Summarize some basic Mindfulness Self Compassion (MSC) history and research.

  2. Understand how Mindfulness Self Compassion relates to Relapse Prevention for Problematic Sexual Behaviors and Emotional Regulation with Impacted Partners.

  3. Observe demonstrations of leading Mindful Self Compassion meditation practices.

  4. Observe demonstrations of Inquiry. What Inquiry is and isn’t.

  5. Learn how to integrate Mindfulness Self Compassion into your daily life.

  6. Assist you in your decision for further training that would enable you to more effectively practice these techniques with yourself and with your clients.

About Sue Neufeld-Ellis:

Sue has worked in the fields of counseling, nursing, addictions, and psychotherapy since 1981 and has been a meditation teacher for 20 years.  She teaches meditation at workshops, trainings, and conferences.  Sue is a trained meditation teacher through the University of California-San Diego and also studied at the University of Washington.  She has a CD ‘Serenity Through  Meditation’ with musician Steven Halpern and is co-author in the book Clergy Sexual Misconduct.  She has been a featured guest on several radio talk shows and was a columnist for a local newspaper on sex and relationship issues.
