Participant Requirements: Attendees will be required to have a laptop with audio and a video camera to participate in training. Each training will be conducted via zoom.com. Instructions to attain zoom login information will be emailed out prior to each training.

It is the responsibility of the participant to be on time and participate for the entire webinar to earn the 2 IITAP CE's. The participant is responsible for their hardware, software, and connectivity to the webinar session.
Description: Participants will learn how to educate, encourage and come alongside individuals and couples in their congregation after the traumatic stress resulting from emotional and sexual betrayal. Church leaders will become more equipped to help the betraying person, the betrayed partner or the healing couple stay connected while navigating the trust-rebuilding process with respect and sensitivity. Participants will learn practical strategies from the author of 40 Forms of Intimacy® to help couples highlight strengths, better understand and relate to each other, honestly evaluate relationship traumas, and approach their future with clarity.
Participants will be able to:
- Participants will learn how to help couples redefine and expand on the definition of intimacy to identify and build from existing couple strengths and highlight nonsexual forms of couple intimacy
- Participants will learn how to share practical steps to help individuals and couples build emotional safety as a pathway to mutual transparency and sustainable vulnerability
- Participants will learn specific ways to encourage individuals and couples to expand their empathy through developing frequent, practical caring behaviors.
