1. What is sex addiction, compulsive sexual behavior disorder (CSBD) and differential diagnosis?
   
1. History of sexual behavior disorders, terms, and definition of sex addiction.
2. Understanding diagnostic criteria for compulsive sexual behavior disorder (CSBD) and how to classify differential diagnoses.
3. Addiction criteria as outlined by the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
4. CSBD is not the same as sex offending. Clients with CSBD can engage in sexual offending behaviors and sexual offenders can have CSBD, but it is important to know the differences so that clinicians recommend best course of treatment and do not offer services outside of their scope of practice.
2. Treatment Considerations
1. Neuroscience research related to compulsive sexual behaviors and pornography use.
2. Identifying attachment style is important when treating compulsive and addictive sexual behaviors.
3. Working with trauma as a core etiological feature of clients with CSBD.
4. Viewing addiction from a family systems approach is pertinent for change.
5. Differentiating healthy sexuality from compulsive and addictive sexual behaviors.
6. Implications of anonymity, accessibility, and affordability of cybersex and what this means to addiction recovery.
