The second module of the CSAT training series focuses on the impact and treatment of compulsive sexual addiction within the family unit, with a particular emphasis on the partner's experience. This module examines managing the impact of
discovery, facilitating disclosure with both the partner and family/children, and examining the stages of recovery. Effective strategies to support partners throughout the disclosure process will be provided, as well as a plan to address
the range of emotions they may experience, such as betrayal, anger, shame, confusion, and isolation. This module will also discuss strategies for intervening and addressing boundaries, gaslighting, and cultivating empathy and repair
within the coupleship. Additionally, participants will learn how to effectively integrate the Post-Traumatic Stress Index-Revised (PTSI-R) and the Inventory for Partner Attachment, Stress, and Trauma (IPAST) assessments into their
treatment planning.
