At the conclusion of this training, participants will be able to:

2. Utilize the cycle of relational transformation in Couple–Centered Recovery.

3. Apply the stance for Couple–Centered Recovery for the treatment of couples after betrayal and to establish healthy and productive boundaries for couple work post-betrayal.

4. Explain the dynamics of relationships post-betrayal through principles of justice and fairness

5. Analyze clinical case studies of betrayal trauma through a Couple–Centered Recovery lens.

6. Identify personal biases when it comes to trauma and culture.

7. Integrate culturally responsive, evidence-based interventions when working with diverse couples.

9. Describe the seven stages in the Couple’s Roadmap to Recovery and how the task-focused approach provides a structure for the couple to achieve the goals of each stage.

11. Describe how the Couple’s Roadmap can be customized to fit the unique needs of each couple.

   4. Describe the 7 essential steps of intervention during Crisis Management
5. Overview of individual stabilization for addict and partner and challenges in the addicts individual stabilization
   1. Second stage of Individual Stabilization focuses on their respective individual therapies on what each needs to do to stabilize from themselves.
   2. Focus on the overview of the tasks of addict and partner in this stage.
   3. Explore in detail the challenges in the process of the addict/partner tasks:
      1. Evaluation
      2. Psychoeducation
      3. Abstinence and Recovery
      4. Relationship Repair and Healing
   4. In addition, the partner's tasks will include
      1. Betrayal Trauma Recovery
6. Continued overview of second stage and with third stage couple stabilization
   1. Continued overview of second stage- Individual Stabilization
   2. Third stage of Couple Stabilization will provide an explanation of the 3 parallel tracks that couples therapists must be aware of in their approach with couples.
   3. These 3 tracks are integral and interrelated with each other:
      1. Recovery Tasks: The first track is providing education and assistance with the recovery tasks, encouraging collaboration between the addict and partner.
      2. Relationship Skills: The second track is evaluating and guidance in relationship skill building for essential areas such as communication and conflict resolution.
      3. Repair Process: The third track is the repair process where the addict learns how to attune to his partner's pain and support her healing.
